Forest Green Rovers and Wealdstone shared the points in a 1-1 draw at The New Lawn, with both goals arriving during the first half.
Wealdstone took the lead in the 28th minute through Fejiri Okenabirhie. Joe Newton supplied the pass for the striker, who finished left-footed from the centre of the penalty area to put the visitors in front.
Forest Green responded ten minutes later. Sean Etaluku provided the ball for Tate Campbell, who finished from the centre of the box in the 38th minute to make it 1-1. It was Campbell’s first National League goal of the season.
The sides went into the interval level, with Wealdstone making the first change of the evening at the start of the second half as Ronan Maher replaced Dan Chesters.
Forest Green introduced Omari Patrick for Brian Ifeanyi in the 56th minute before Nick Haughton replaced Adeteye Gbadehan shortly after the hour. Wealdstone’s Maher and Dylan Kadji were both booked as the second half progressed.
The visitors made another change in the 72nd minute when Mason Barrett replaced Abraham Kanu, while Forest Green later introduced Tre Pemberton. Olufela Olomola replaced goalscorer Okenabirhie with ten minutes remaining, before Jack Cook came on for Barrett in the 83rd minute.
Neither side could find the breakthrough during seven minutes of added time, leaving Okenabirhie’s opener and Campbell’s equaliser as the only goals of the evening.
The draw leaves Forest Green with 15 points from their opening 11 National League matches. Rovers have now gone three league games without a victory, following a 3-1 home defeat by Boston United and successive draws against Sutton United and Wealdstone.
Wealdstone move on to 12 points from 11 games. Gary Waddock’s side have taken four points from their last two matches after following Saturday’s 4-0 victory over Gateshead with a point at The New Lawn.
