The Jakemans Community Stadium played host to an entertaining English National League fixture, where Wealdstone came from behind to secure an impressive 3-1 away victory over Boston United. The contest featured chances at both ends, a saved penalty and two goals in quick succession that ultimately swung the match decisively in the visitors’ favour.
Boston United made the brighter start and took the lead in the 12th minute. Gavan Holohan delivered a dangerous cross into the area and captain Jamie Grimes rose to head home, giving the Pilgrims an early advantage.
The hosts almost doubled their lead seven minutes later. Ken Aboh found the back of the net after Wealdstone goalkeeper Dante Baptiste had denied Lennon Wheeldon, but the celebrations were cut short by an offside flag.

Boston continued to push for a route back into the game. John-Lewis came close when his header struck the post, while the hosts made attacking substitutions in the closing stages, introducing Tom Cursons, Jack Holmes and Connor McBride as they searched for a response.
Wealdstone remained organised under increasing pressure, though Boston came agonisingly close again late on when former Stones midfielder Terrell Agyemang unleashed a powerful effort that crashed against the crossbar. After Saturday’s full programme, the Stones sit 17th in the English National League with eight points from seven matches. Boston United remain on seven points and occupy 19th place after suffering their fourth defeat of the campaign.
For Wealdstone, the result represents an impressive response to their heavy defeat against Kidderminster Harriers in their previous league outing. Boston, meanwhile, are now without a win in four league matches and will be particularly frustrated after taking the lead and passing up several opportunities to regain control of the contest.
