Eastleigh v Woking

Eastleigh welcome Woking to the Silverlake Stadium on Saturday looking to extend their unbeaten home record in the National League. The Spitfires have taken 12 points from six home matches this season, while Woking arrive after seeing a four-match unbeaten run ended in midweek.

Eastleigh rescued a point against Southend United on Wednesday through Temitope Eweka’s 89th-minute equaliser. Promise Omochere had headed Southend ahead during the first half before Eweka converted Josh Lundstram’s late cross for his second goal in successive matches.

The draw followed a 4-1 defeat at Harrogate Town and leaves Eastleigh with one victory from their last five league games. That win came at home to Carlisle United, with the Spitfires’ three victories and three draws at the Silverlake contrasting with four defeats from five away matches.

Eastleigh have also scored in nine consecutive league games since being shut out at Kidderminster in August. They have 15 points from their opening 11 matches after four wins, three draws and four defeats.

Woking’s four-match unbeaten sequence came to an end with a 4-2 home defeat by Solihull Moors on Tuesday. The Cards recovered from Jacob Wakeling’s early goal to lead 2-1 through Matt Ward and John Marquis, but Solihull were back in front before half-time and Woking’s Jaiden Putman was sent off early in the second half.

That defeat followed an impressive 5-2 victory at Carlisle United, while Woking had previously drawn with Kidderminster and Boston United after beating Altrincham 5-1. They have taken eight points from their last five matches and scored 12 goals during that sequence.

Both league meetings between the clubs finished level last season. Eastleigh came from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 at the Laithwaite Community Stadium in April, with Jake Vokins and Temi Eweka scoring before Woking struck twice late on. The earlier meeting at the Silverlake finished 1-1, Josh Lundstram equalising after Olly Sanderson had put Woking ahead.

Eastleigh begin the weekend 14th with 15 points from 11 matches, while Woking are 18th on 12 points. The Spitfires’ unbeaten home record provides the clearest contrast going into Saturday, with Woking looking to respond after conceding four at home to Solihull.

TopB1ns Edge

Right then, it’s Eastleigh versus Woking at the Silverlake Stadium. The bookies are having a bit of a punt themselves, with Woking slightly favoured at 2.20. However, the TopB1ns Edge is having none of it, predicting an Eastleigh win at a juicy 2.75. That’s where the value might be, eh?

Both sides seem to fancy a go, with Both Teams to Score a short 1.57. The TopB1ns Edge agrees, so expect goals at both ends. When it comes to the goals, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. The model fancies Over 0.5, Over 1.5, and Over 2.5 goals, which isn’t too surprising given the BTTS shout. But then it’s a sharp turn to Under 3.5, Under 4.5, and so on. This suggests a game that could start with a bang and maybe settle down, or perhaps just be a bit of a goal-fest that doesn’t quite hit the high numbers.

Personally, I fancy Eastleigh to nick it. They’ve been scoring consistently, and the TopB1ns Edge is backing them. Let’s see if Eddie’s model can guide us to a winner.
