Kidderminster Harriers v Sutton United

Kidderminster Harriers welcome Sutton United to Aggborough on Saturday with just one point separating the sides in the National League. Harriers are ninth on 18 points, while Sutton sit 11th on 17, with both teams looking to end three-match winless runs.

Kidderminster’s sequence follows an eight-match unbeaten run after their opening-day defeat at Hornchurch. Successive victories over Wealdstone, Hartlepool United and Gateshead were followed by a goalless draw at Woking before Yeovil became the first visiting side to win at Aggborough this season.

Harriers then suffered a 3-1 defeat at unbeaten leaders Boreham Wood on Tuesday. Jay Bird scored twice inside the opening 16 minutes before Lewis Walker pulled one back after the break. Kidderminster were pushing for an equaliser when Richard Faakye was sent off, with Jack Wint saving the resulting penalty before Ben Whitfield added Wood’s third from the subsequent corner.

Sutton also arrive looking for a response after Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat at Tamworth. Keiran Donnelly opened the scoring shortly after half-time before an Emmanuel Osadebe own goal doubled Tamworth’s advantage five minutes later and ended Sutton’s three-match unbeaten run.

That sequence had begun with a 2-1 victory over Eastleigh before draws against FC Halifax Town and Forest Green Rovers. Sutton came from 3-1 down against Forest Green, with Temi Babalola scoring a 93rd-minute equaliser to earn a 3-3 draw, but were unable to find the net at Tamworth four days later.

Saturday will be Sutton’s first league visit to Aggborough this century. Their previous league trip came during Kidderminster’s 1999/2000 promotion season, when Craig Hinton scored the only goal in a 1-0 Harriers victory. The clubs have met twice in cup competitions since, with Kidderminster winning 4-1 in the FA Cup in 2013 before Sutton won 1-0 at Aggborough in the FA Trophy in February 2025.

Kidderminster have 18 points from 11 matches after five wins, three draws and three defeats, with 14 goals scored and 11 conceded. Sutton are one point behind after five wins, two draws and four defeats, having scored 13 and conceded 15.

Both sides arrive after being checked following stronger runs. Kidderminster have taken one point from their last three after previously going eight games unbeaten, while Sutton have taken two points from their last three after beginning that sequence with victory over Eastleigh.

Right then, let’s get stuck into this one at Aggborough. Kidderminster Harriers host Sutton United, and it’s a proper head-scratcher on paper. The odds are tight: Harriers at 2.38, Sutton at 2.75, with the draw a shade longer at 3.20.

Now, the TopB1ns Edge is sticking its neck out and fancies a draw here. It’s a bold call given the market, but Eddie’s model has a funny way of spotting value. Where it’s really shouting, though, is on the goals front.

For starters, it’s saying ‘No’ to Both Teams To Score (1.95). That suggests a bit of a tight affair, perhaps a grind. And on the Over/Under, the TopB1ns Edge is leaning towards Under 2.5 goals (1.70). It’s also flagged Over 0.5 (no odds provided) and Over 1.5 (1.33) as likely outcomes, so we might see a couple of goals but not a goal fest.

It’s an interesting one, this. The market sees it as close, and the TopB1ns Edge is screaming draw and low goals. Worth a punt if you fancy following the numbers.
