Yeovil Town welcome Boston United to Huish Park on Saturday looking to extend a four-match unbeaten run in the National League. The Glovers have taken ten points from that sequence, while Boston make their longest trip of the season with five players unavailable.
Yeovil’s run began with a 1-1 draw at Aldershot before a 4-1 victory over Solihull Moors and a 1-0 win at Kidderminster Harriers. Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Worthing extended the sequence to four games, with a Joe Cook own goal cancelling out Razzaq Coleman De-Graft’s first-half opener.
Johl Powell was particularly prominent against Worthing, registering four shots and forcing goalkeeper Taylor Seymour into three saves. Yeovil have now scored in all 11 of their National League matches this season, with 20 goals across those games.
Boston arrive after Lennon Wheeldon’s first-half strike earned them a 1-1 draw at FC Halifax Town on Tuesday. Goalkeeper Louis Chadwick produced a series of second-half saves to preserve the point, including a late stop to deny Tayt Trusty.
That followed a 1-0 home defeat by Fylde, leaving Boston with one victory from their last five league matches. That win came at Forest Green Rovers, where Tom Cursons scored twice and Wheeldon added the third in a 3-1 victory.
Paul Hurst will be without five players for the trip to Somerset. Jake Rooney is suspended and Dylan Hill remains injured, while Nicholas Pozo, Kai Mauro and Ollie Bostock are away on international duty.
The clubs shared the points across their two meetings last season. Luke McCormick scored twice as Yeovil won 2-1 at Huish Park in November, before Boston overturned Aaron Jarvis’s opener to win the return fixture by the same score in March, with Rooney and Jordy Hiwula scoring for the Pilgrims.
Yeovil begin the weekend with 19 points from 11 matches after five wins, four draws and two defeats. Boston have 12 points from their opening 11 games and sit 15th, with three wins, three draws and five defeats.
Yeovil’s 11-match scoring record meets a Boston side that has conceded 15 goals in 11 games, but the Pilgrims have already shown they can win on the road this season. Their task at Huish Park comes with a reduced squad as Yeovil look to build on ten points from their last four matches.
