Fylde v Hartlepool United

Hartlepool United travel to AFC Fylde on Tuesday evening seeking a third successive National League victory, having followed a six-match losing run with wins over Forest Green Rovers and Hornchurch. The hosts, meanwhile, are looking to respond to a 4-0 defeat at unbeaten leaders Boreham Wood.

Pete Wild’s side ended their losing sequence with a 4-2 victory at Forest Green, where Jordan Hugill and Nathan Sheron both scored twice. Hartlepool led 3-0 before the hosts reduced the deficit to one, but Sheron’s second goal, a powerful effort from around 30 yards, secured Wild’s first win as head coach.

Pools followed that result with a 2-1 home victory over Hornchurch on Saturday, coming from behind despite having Neo Eccleston sent off in the 68th minute. Angelo Balanta had given the visitors the lead before a Ryan Inniss own goal brought Hartlepool level, and substitute Luke Charman curled home the winner in the 80th minute. Wild subsequently described the performance as another step forward while emphasising the need to build consistency.

Fylde suffered their heaviest defeat of the season at Boreham Wood on Saturday, although Craig Mahon’s side created opportunities before conceding three first-half goals. Zak Brunt scored twice for the leaders, while Tylor Golden and Jay Bird were also on target. Millar Matthews-Lewis, Luca Thomas and Danny Mayor all had chances for Fylde during the opening period.

The Coasters’ most recent home league fixture brought a 2-0 victory over Scunthorpe United, with Mayor opening the scoring before Aaron Drewe added his first league goal of the campaign. Fylde have won two, drawn two and lost two of their six home league matches, while Hartlepool have taken two wins from seven away fixtures.

The clubs have shared their last four National League meetings, winning twice each. Fylde won both encounters at Mill Farm during the 2024/25 campaign, recording 2-1 victories, while Hartlepool won both home fixtures. Their most recent meeting was Fylde’s 2-1 home win in April 2025.

Fylde enter Tuesday’s match seventh in the National League with 23 points from 14 games, eight ahead of 19th-placed Hartlepool. A victory would give Wild’s side three successive league wins for the first time this season, while Fylde are seeking to build on their previous home success after a difficult trip to the league leaders.

Right then, let’s have a look at this Fylde versus Hartlepool United clash. The Coasters are favourites at 1.67, and the TopB1ns Edge prediction agrees, tipping Fylde for the win. They’re sitting pretty in seventh, while Hartlepool are languishing down in nineteenth.

However, don’t dismiss the Pools just yet. They’ve managed a couple of wins on the bounce and the TopB1ns Edge is shouting for Both Teams To Score at 1.53. Fylde’s defence has looked a bit leaky lately, conceding four last time out, and Hartlepool have found the net in their last two.

Over on the goal markets, the TopB1ns Edge fancies goals, with Over 1.5 (1.14) and Over 2.5 (1.50) looking likely. But they reckon it’ll tighten up after that, predicting Under 3.5 (1.62). So, if you’re fancying a punt, Fylde to win with BTTS and Over 2.5 goals could be the shout. Keep an eye on those odds, though, as Eddie’s model is still in its infancy!
