Gateshead 0-3 Woking

The Gateshead International Stadium hosted a compelling English National League fixture, where Woking emerged victorious with a decisive 3-0 win over Gateshead. The match was characterised by Woking’s efficient attacking play and Gateshead’s struggle to convert their chances.

Woking took the lead in the 29th minute. Harry Beautyman opened the scoring for the visitors, putting them ahead. Gateshead found it difficult to establish a foothold in the game and went into the interval trailing.

In the second half, Woking extended their lead. Matt Ward scored Woking’s second goal in the 67th minute. The assist was provided by Steven Turner, who had been substituted on just four minutes prior. This goal significantly reduced any chance of a Gateshead comeback.

Despite Gateshead making several substitutions in an attempt to change the game, they were unable to penetrate Woking’s defence. Woking continued to push forward and added a third goal in the 96th minute. Oliver Sanderson scored the final goal, with Jamie Andrews credited with the assist, securing a comprehensive 3-0 victory for Woking.

The match saw several players cautioned. Jamie Andrews of Woking received a yellow card for a foul in the 41st minute. Later, in the 74th minute, Joe Grayson of Gateshead was booked for dissent. Louis Storey of Gateshead was also shown a yellow card for a foul in the 92nd minute.

This result maintains Woking’s strong league form. They currently sit in 10th place in the National League table, having accumulated 63 points from 45 games. This position suggests they are contenders for promotion playoff places. Gateshead remain in 17th place with 50 points from 45 games. While this position ensures they have avoided relegation, they are unlikely to challenge for higher honours this season.

Right then, let’s get stuck into this one. Gateshead versus Woking, and it was a bit of a shocker for the home side. Woking strolled in with a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Now, for the bookies, Gateshead were fancied at 23/20, with Woking a decent 19/10 shot. The TopB1ns Edge, bless its cotton socks, went for Gateshead to nick it. That one, as we can see, didn’t quite pan out.

However, where the TopB1ns Edge really shone was on the goals. We called for BTTS ‘No’, and that landed bang on, paying out nicely at 57/50. We also nailed the Over 0.5, Over 1.5, and Over 2.5 goals. Even the Under 3.5, 4.5, 5.5, and 6.5 all came in, showing a keen eye for the game’s likely scoring pattern. So, while the main result was a bit of a miss for the Edge, it certainly knew where the value was in the goal markets. Early days for this model, but it’s showing promise, wouldn’t you say?
