Solihull Moors secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Yeovil Town at Huish Park in a high-scoring National League encounter. The visitors established a significant advantage in the first half, which Yeovil Town were ultimately unable to surmount, despite a determined second-half effort.
Solihull Moors made an immediate impact, opening the scoring within the first two minutes. Jacob Wakeling found the net to give the visitors an early lead. Their pressure continued, and in the 13th minute, Scott High doubled the advantage. Oscar Rutherford provided the assist for High’s goal.
Just three minutes later, Solihull Moors extended their lead further. Jacob Wakeling scored his second of the match, with Oscar Rutherford again providing the assist.
Yeovil Town managed to pull a goal back in the 30th minute. Terrell Works scored for the home side, assisted by Jonathon Page, reducing the deficit to 3-1.
However, Solihull Moors responded quickly to restore their advantage. In the 36th minute, Joe Sbarra scored, assisted by Alex Whitmore, to make the score 4-1. This was the scoreline at half-time.
The second half saw tactical adjustments from both teams. Yeovil Town introduced Harvey Greenslade in place of Dakarai Mafico in the 40th minute, signalling a change in their attacking approach. Despite efforts from both sides, no further goals were scored in the second half. Solihull Moors successfully managed their lead to secure the comprehensive victory.
