Wealdstone 7-0 Hartlepool United

Grosvenor Vale witnessed a truly remarkable offensive performance as Wealdstone secured a resounding 7-0 victory over Hartlepool United. The Stones delivered a masterclass in finishing, leaving the travelling supporters disheartened and the home faithful jubilant.

Wealdstone signalled their intent from the opening whistle. In the fourth minute, Micah Obiero opened the scoring with a well-placed finish, following an assist from Dante Astor Baptiste. The early breakthrough clearly boosted the home side, and their attacking momentum remained strong. Just three minutes later, Dylan Kadji doubled Wealdstone’s advantage, converting a chance created by Anthony Georgiou.

Hartlepool United appeared unsettled by Wealdstone’s ferocious start. The visiting dugout was evidently contemplating tactical adjustments during the frantic opening exchanges. However, any hope of stemming the tide was swiftly diminished by a devastating spell from Micah Obiero. He completed his hat-trick in quick succession, netting his second goal, assisted by Nathan Tshikuna, to put Wealdstone four goals ahead by the 25th minute.

The first half continued to be dominated by the home side. Anthony Georgiou, after providing an assist, added his name to the scoresheet in the 33rd minute, extending the lead to 5-0 and effectively ending any prospect of a contest. The half-time whistle must have provided a welcome respite for Hartlepool United, offering a chance to regroup.

In the second half, Wealdstone continued to press their advantage, though the intensity may have softened slightly given their considerable lead. Nevertheless, Gary Waddock’s side were not content to merely see out the game. In the 70th minute, Enzio Boldewijn extended the lead to six, his effort finding the back of the net following an assist from Deonysus Woodman. Substitutions began for both teams as managers looked to manage their squads. Hartlepool United made several changes at half-time, introducing Adam Campbell, Calvin Okike, Sam Folarin, Brad Walker, and Vadaine Oliver in an attempt to spark a revival. Wealdstone also made strategic alterations, with Mason Barrett, Ashley Nathaniel-George, Sean Jordan Adarkwa, Olufela Olomola, and Jack Hinchy entering the fray at various points.

The substitutions did little to alter the overall narrative of the match. Wealdstone remained firmly in control, and their attacking intent was rewarded once more in the 87th minute. Substitute Olufela Olomola, who had only been on the pitch for a short time, added the seventh goal, assisted by Dominic Hutchinson, completing a truly emphatic victory. The final scoreline of 7-0 paints a picture of complete dominance.

This commanding performance sees Wealdstone climb to 12th place in the English National League table with 51 points. Hartlepool United remain in 9th position with 60 points, but this heavy defeat will undoubtedly be a significant blow to their goal difference and, more importantly, their morale as they aim to secure a strong league finish.

Right then, let’s get stuck into this one. Wealdstone absolutely pumped Hartlepool, a staggering 7-0 at home. The bookies had Wealdstone at 7/5 to win, which was a decent price given the result, and TopB1ns Edge nailed that one with a straight win prediction.

Now, for the goals. TopB1ns Edge called ‘No’ for Both Teams To Score, and it landed bang on the money with the 7-0 scoreline. The Over/Under markets were a bit mixed. TopB1ns Edge was on the Over for the first three, O/U 0.5, 1.5, and 2.5, which all hit. However, it went for Under on O/U 3.5, 4.5, 5.5, and 6.5, which were all wrong given the goal fest. Still, that 7-0 scoreline was a bit of a shocker, even if the TopB1ns Edge was spot on with the main result and BTTS. Early days for the model, eh? These teething issues will be ironed out, mark my words.
