The second half began with Rochdale extending their lead. Aidan Barlow scored in the 51st minute, doubling their advantage and seemingly putting the game beyond the reach of the home side.
However, Scunthorpe United demonstrated commendable resilience. They began their comeback in the 60th minute when Callum Roberts reduced the deficit, assisted by Andrew Boyce. This goal injected renewed vigour into the Iron’s play.

Substitutions were made by both teams throughout the second half. Rochdale made changes in the 69th and 82nd minutes, while Scunthorpe introduced fresh legs in the 78th minute.
The draw leaves Scunthorpe United in fifth place in the National League standings with 74 points from 40 games played. Rochdale continue to lead the league, sitting at the summit with 95 points from their 40 fixtures.
