Boreham Wood secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Aldershot Town at the EBB Stadium in a lively English National League fixture. The visitors were indebted to a brace from Regan Booty, who proved to be the match-winner.
The encounter ignited early, with Boreham Wood drawing first blood just three minutes into the contest. Regan Booty opened the scoring, setting the tone for the visitors. He doubled his and his team’s advantage in the 16th minute, adding a second goal to put Boreham Wood in a commanding 2-0 lead.
Aldershot Town, however, responded positively. Brody Peart reduced the deficit in the 22nd minute, finding the net with an assist from Josh Barrett. This goal injected renewed vigour into the home side and set the stage for a competitive second half.
