Wealdstone secured a commanding 5-1 victory over Solihull Moors at Grosvenor Vale. The home side, previously tenth in the English National League with 48 points, delivered a dominant display to claim all three points. Solihull Moors, lying fourteenth with 43 points, found it difficult to contain their hosts for significant portions of the match.
The scoring commenced in the thirteenth minute when Connor McAvoy opened the account for Wealdstone, with Nathan Tshikuna providing the assist. This early goal established the tempo for the home team, who continued to press their advantage. Sean Jordan Adarkwa extended Wealdstone’s lead in the fifty-sixth minute, following an assist from Junior Tiensia.
The Stones further increased their lead in the sixtieth minute through Nathan Tshikuna, who was assisted by Jack Hinchy. Solihull Moors managed to find a consolation goal in the sixty-fifth minute. Substitute Conor Wilkinson, who had entered the pitch just ten minutes prior, reduced the deficit to 3-1.
However, Wealdstone responded decisively. Micah Obiero re-established their four-goal advantage in the sixty-seventh minute, after a well-placed assist from substitute Terrell Agyemang, who had been introduced in the sixty-fourth minute. The scoring was concluded in the seventy-first minute by Junior Tiensia, who transitioned from provider to scorer, receiving an assist from Nathan Tshikuna.
The match saw several tactical adjustments, with both teams utilising substitutions to influence proceedings. Wealdstone’s Gary Waddock introduced Terrell Agyemang and Michael Adu-Poku in the second half. Solihull Moors’ Chris Millington also made a tactical substitution early in the second half, bringing on Conor Wilkinson in the fifty-fifth minute.
Despite a spirited effort from Solihull Moors, who received three yellow cards in the second half, Wealdstone’s attacking strength proved too potent. The Stones’ victory marks their third consecutive win, and they have now scored in their last five successive matches. Solihull Moors, conversely, continue to experience a difficult spell, remaining winless in their last seven fixtures.
This result sees Wealdstone maintain their strong position in the upper half of the league table, while Solihull Moors will aim to regroup and regain their form in upcoming games.
