Eastleigh 1-3 Rochdale

Rochdale secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Eastleigh at the Silverlake Stadium in a goal-laden English National League encounter. The visitors established a commanding lead in the second half, effectively sealing the points despite a late consolation for the home side.

The deadlock was broken in the 16th minute when Emmanuel Dieseruvwe found the back of the net for Rochdale, assisted by Aidan Barlow. This early strike set the tone for the visitors, who continued to press their advantage.

The second half saw Rochdale extend their lead decisively. Casey Pettit doubled their advantage in the 61st minute, with Devante Rodney providing the assist. Just eight minutes later, in the 69th minute, Ethan Ebanks-Landell added a third for Rochdale, this time with Casey Pettit turning provider.

Eastleigh, showing resilience, managed to pull a goal back in the 88th minute. Substitute Jake Tabor, who had been introduced in the 71st minute, scored for the home side, with Josh Lundstram credited with the assist. However, this late effort proved to be too little, too late for Richard Hill’s side.

The match saw a flurry of substitutions in the second half as both teams looked to influence the game. Eastleigh made multiple changes in quick succession around the 71st and 72nd minute, introducing Lloyd Humphries, Jake Tabor, James Waite, and Kieron Evans. Rochdale also utilised their bench, bringing on Bryant Bilongo, Jake Burger, Tyler Smith, Ian Henderson, and Ed Francis in the latter stages of the game.

The defeat leaves Eastleigh in 18th place in the league table with 42 points, while Rochdale solidify their position at the top, sitting in first place with 91 points, demonstrating their dominant campaign.

Right then, let’s get stuck into this Eastleigh v Rochdale scrap. The final whistle blew with a 1-3 scoreline favouring the away side, Rochdale. TopB1ns Edge absolutely nailed the 1X2, calling Rochdale to win at odds of 9/20. Lovely stuff.

On the Both Teams To Score front, it was a definite ‘Yes’ for both the bookies and TopB1ns Edge. The odds were a bit tight at 1/1, but it still came in.

Now, the Over/Under goals. TopB1ns Edge was bang on with Over 0.5, Over 1.5, and Over 2.5. The odds on these were getting shorter, so no massive payout there, but they were solid calls. However, things got a bit spicy with the Over 3.5. The bookies had it at 9/4, but TopB1ns Edge fancied the Under. They were wrong on that one, as the score ended up 1-3, meaning four goals were scored. Still, four out of seven Over/Under calls were correct, which isn’t bad at all, especially considering the higher odds on the Over 3.5. All in all, a decent day for the Edge, showing its smarts against the bookies.
