Southend United 4-1 Eastleigh

Southend United delivered a commanding performance at Roots Hall, securing a convincing 4-1 victory over Eastleigh. The Shrimpers asserted their dominance from the early stages, establishing a significant advantage that Eastleigh struggled to overcome.

The breakthrough came in the 24th minute when Charley Kendall opened the scoring for Southend United, following an assist from Andy Dallas. This goal energised the home side, who continued to build momentum.

Southend United maintained their attacking pressure in the second half. Gus Scott-Morriss extended their lead four minutes after the restart, with Andy Dallas providing the assist once more. The Shrimpers’ relentless approach paid dividends in the 54th minute. Charley Kendall netted his second goal of the match, increasing Southend’s advantage to 3-0 and leaving Eastleigh with a considerable deficit.

Eastleigh managed to pull a goal back in the 80th minute, with Lloyd Humphries finding the net. However, Southend United had the final word. Substitute Josh Walker, who had entered the game only minutes prior, added a fourth goal in the 89th minute, completing a strong attacking display.

This victory sees Southend United move up to seventh place in the league table, accumulating 45 points from 25 games. Eastleigh remain in fifteenth place with 31 points from 27 matches.

Right then, let’s get stuck into this one. Southend United absolutely bossed Eastleigh at Roots Hall, smashing them 4-1. The bookies had Southend as strong favourites, with odds of 9/25 for the win, and fair play, TopB1ns Edge was bang on with the prediction for a home victory.

We also went for Both Teams To Score, and thankfully that came in too, despite the odds of 19/20. Where things got a bit spicy was the Over/Under 2.5 goals. TopB1ns Edge called for under 2.5, which, let’s be honest, looked a bit daft when the final score was 4-1. Thankfully, that prediction was wrong, but the model did call under for 3.5 and 4.5, which we avoided anyway. All in all, a solid result, with the TopB1ns Edge proving its worth, even with a couple of teething issues. Cheers!
