Morecambe 2-0 Brackley Town

Morecambe secured a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Brackley Town at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium, earning crucial points in their challenging season.

The home side established control in the first half, and their efforts were rewarded in the 25th minute. A well-crafted move culminated in Jack Nolan finding the back of the net, giving Morecambe a deserved lead. Jake Cain provided the assist with a precise pass. Brackley Town struggled to impose themselves on the game and were forced into an early substitution in the 10th minute, with Kyle Morrison replacing Zak Lilley. Gwion Edwards received a yellow card for a foul just before half-time.

Morecambe also made several substitutions in the latter stages, including Danny Waldron, Ma’kel Bogle-Campbell, Zak Brown, Arjan Singh, Emmerson Sutton, and Lewis Payne, as they managed the game to its conclusion. Admiral Muskwe received a late yellow card for a foul in stoppage time.

The victory lifts Morecambe to 22nd in the English National League table, with 16 points from 19 games, placing them just outside the relegation zone with a slightly better goal difference than the teams below them. Brackley Town remain in a comfortable mid-table position, occupying 17th place with 20 points from their 19 matches. This result extends Brackley Town’s losing streak to three games, while Morecambe will be looking to build on this momentum.
