Woking succumbed to a home defeat against a high-flying Forest Green Rovers side, who extended their impressive run with a 2-0 victory at The Laithwaite Community Stadium. The result sees Forest Green strengthen their hold on the top spot in the National League, while Woking remain in the lower reaches of the table.
Forest Green began the match strongly and their early pressure paid off in the 10th minute when Jayden Clarke, assisted by Kairo Mitchell, opened the scoring. Woking struggled to mount a response against Forest Green’s well-drilled defence. In the 16th minute, Forest Green made an early substitution, with Jordan Moore-Taylor replacing Abraham Kanu in a tactical adjustment.
