Solihull Moors 4-4 Morecambe

Damson Park was the stage for a National League encounter that saw Solihull Moors and Morecambe locked in a thrilling 4-4 draw. The match was a seesaw affair, characterised by lead changes and tactical adjustments, culminating in a dramatic finish under referee James Durkin.

Solihull Moors drew first blood in the 25th minute, with Jamey Osborne finding the net. Morecambe’s response was swift, as Jack Nolan, assisted by Ben Tollitt, equalised five minutes later. Just before the break, Jacob Wakeling, assisted by Dan Creaney, restored Solihull’s lead, sending the home side into half-time with a narrow advantage.

The final quarter of the match continued to deliver drama. Miguel Azeez, assisted by Alie Sesay, put Morecambe ahead once more in the 75th minute. However, Solihull’s Jacob Wakeling responded almost immediately, scoring his second of the match in the 77th minute to level the score.

As the match drew to a close, both teams sought a winning goal, but neither could find the breakthrough. In added time, Jamey Osborne received a yellow card for a foul.

Solihull Moors made their first substitution in the 70th minute, with Szhem Whyte-Hall replacing Bradley Stevenson. In the 82nd minute, Callum McFarlane and Sam Bowen came on for Dan Creaney and Oscar Rutherford, respectively. Morecambe made a triple substitution in the 84th minute, with Mo Sangare, Joe Nuttall, and Tom Tweedy replacing Admiral Muskwe, Jack Nolan, and Paul Lewis. In the 92nd minute, Ma’kel Bogle-Campbell replaced Ben Williams, and in the 96th minute, Harrison Panayiotou replaced Ben Tollitt.
