Woking 5-0 Gateshead

Woking produced a commanding performance at the Laithwaite Community Stadium, securing a comprehensive 5-0 victory against Gateshead in a match dominated by the home side. Woking’s early determination translated into a scoreline few anticipated.

Aiden O’Brien opened the scoring in the 11th minute, setting the tone for Woking’s dominance. In the 24th minute, Tariq Hinds, assisted by Jamie Andrews, extended Woking’s lead. Gateshead struggled to gain a foothold in the match as Woking maintained control leading into half-time.

The second half continued in the same vein, with Jamie Andrews, this time assisted by Aaron Drewe, increasing Woking’s advantage in the 61st minute. Gateshead responded with a triple substitution in the 62nd minute, introducing Callum Bone, Ethan Fitzhugh, and Will Flint in an attempt to revitalise their struggling team.

Woking made their own substitutions in the 71st and 72nd minutes, bringing on Harry Beautyman, Josh Osude, and Jake Forster-Caskey. The changes had an immediate impact, with Josh Osude scoring in the 73rd minute, just a minute after entering the pitch, assisted by Tim Akinola. Gateshead’s frustration was further compounded when Callum Johnson received a yellow card for a foul in the 84th minute.

Josh Osude then completed the scoring in the 89th minute with his second goal of the match. The final whistle confirmed Woking’s emphatic victory.

The result sees Woking move up the table. For Gateshead, the heavy defeat represents a significant setback.

Right, let’s have a butcher’s at that Woking versus Gateshead match. A proper drubbing, 5-0 to the home side. The bookies had Woking at 11/10, and TopB1ns Edge called it right. So, a proper English home win, just as it should be.

Now, the BTTS. TopB1ns Edge got that one proper wrong, predicting a yes when it was a resounding no. Teething issues, I reckon. Still early days for the model, innit?

Looking at the Over/Under, TopB1ns Edge was bang on up to 3.5 goals, but then bottled it, calling unders when the goals kept flying in. After that, though, it got its act together and called the 5.5 and 6.5 unders correctly. So, a mixed bag on the goals front.

The star of the show? Woking’s attack, no doubt. And TopB1ns Edge, showing glimpses of genius with that home win shout. Plenty to learn, but we’re on the right track. Bring on the next match, and a pint to celebrate the wins!
