Solihull Moors 1-1 Dagenham and Redbridge

At the ARMCO Arena, Solihull Moors and Dagenham & Redbridge played to a 1-1 draw in a closely fought match that confirmed Dagenham’s relegation from the National League. The encounter featured intense battles and numerous tactical adjustments from both sides, though clear-cut chances were scarce.

Dagenham took the lead in the 32nd minute through Oscar Rutherford during the first half. Solihull struggled to establish their dominance, prompting manager Matty Taylor to make a tactical switch at half-time, replacing Robbie Cundy with Fletcher Holman in a defender-for-forward substitution, in an attempt to invigorate the attack.

Solihull began the second half with greater intent. Further changes saw Szhem Whyte-Hall replaced by Ethan Sutherland in the 57th minute, followed by a double substitution in the 65th minute when John Bostock was replaced by Bradley Stevenson. Dagenham responded by bringing on Ryan Hill for Shiloh Remy. These changes appeared to galvanise Solihull, and their sustained pressure paid off in the 75th minute when Manny Duku, assisted by Jamey Osborne, scored to level the score. Dagenham then substituted Trent Mahorn for Chris Francis in the 70th minute.

The match grew increasingly tense as time dwindled. Alex Whitmore received a yellow card for Solihull in the 84th minute, and Jake Hessenthaler followed for Dagenham in the 87th. Dagenham made a late attacking change, substituting Marcus Wyllie for Paul Mbiya-Kalambayi in the 88th minute, but Solihull remained resolute. In the 93rd minute, during added time, Solihull brought on Joss Labadie for Manny Duku, appearing content to secure the draw.

The draw leaves Solihull Moors in 14th position with 58 points. Dagenham & Redbridge, with 52 points, are relegated, sitting in 21st position.
