Dagenham and Redbridge 4-0 AFC Fylde

Dagenham & Redbridge produced a commanding performance at the Chigwell Construction Stadium, cruising to a comprehensive 4-0 victory over a struggling AFC Fylde in the National League. The Daggers dictated the play from the first whistle, creating numerous opportunities and ultimately securing a comfortable three points.

The home side’s dominance in the first half eventually yielded a deserved breakthrough just before the interval. In the 42nd minute, a flowing Dagenham move culminated in Josh Rees sliding a perfectly weighted pass to Christian N’Guessan, who coolly slotted the ball past the Fylde goalkeeper to give his side a 1-0 lead going into half-time.

The second half saw Dagenham maintain their relentless pressure, and their advantage was doubled just six minutes after the restart. A stroke of misfortune for Fylde saw Adam Long turn the ball into his own net under pressure, leaving the visitors with a daunting 2-0 deficit.

Fylde responded with a series of substitutions in an attempt to alter the course of the match, but Dagenham remained resolute and continued to create chances. Their attacking endeavour paid off once more in the 76th minute when Josh Umerah set up Junior Morias, who made no mistake in firing home Dagenham’s third goal.

The rout was completed in the 89th minute as substitute Dylan Stephenson added the final flourish. Fellow substitute Dion Pereira provided the assist, allowing Stephenson to cap off a dominant display and seal a resounding 4-0 victory for the Daggers.

Fylde’s frustration was evident in the yellow cards shown to Adam Long and Patrick Gamble. The comprehensive win lifts Dagenham to 11th in the National League table, while Fylde remain in 21st. The result extends Dagenham’s recent positive run against Fylde, adding to their previous win and draw in the two sides’ prior encounters.
